Agree with Angy and Ziggy...... example....xl rats will be much more fatty and not good for an overweight animal so you'd want to go for larges. More enclosure space and "enrichment" (Branches ect.)

The difference is huge, brazilian rainbow boas get a good bit larger, and are red with black patterning. Colombian rainbow boas are smaller and brown, and typically by the time they're an adult...

Mixed diets are great. I don't think I'd feed a diet of straight chicken parts but there's nothing wrong with regularly feeding quail.

As far as a snake not digesting the bones....it can and does...
