Re: How should I heat and light this viv??

Seems it'll actually be about late spring by the time I get my gecko, and then I'm moving in with my dad in the summer so I don't think I'll actually need to worry about heating. Thanks for the help.

Re: How should I heat and light this viv??

My house gets pretty cold during winter, down to about 50 degrees sometimes, so I'm pretty sure I'd need additional heating in the winter. I'll probably just go with a CHE to keep the temps up when...

Re: Funniest snake?

I haven't handled a lot of snakes, but my favorite snake that i've handled has to be a dwarf retic I held at an expo. It was such an inquisitive creature, trying to stuff its big head into my tiny...

Re: Help identifying a northern indiana snake

Sounds like it was probably an eastern hognose snake. Mildly venomous, but harmless to most humans.

Re: What subspecies should I get?

Those are beautiful carpets. I wouldn't be able to choose lol.

I've also fallen in love with darwin carpet pythons, so that's probably the subspecies I will go with once I have the enclosure.

Re: Do you talk to your animals?

I talk to everything. My fish and their tanks, my plants, I've even talked to my snake and I don't even have one yet. "Just gotta sell 3 more dressers and I can afford a nice cage for you." "Just...

Thank you for the replies.
I peeled the bark away and it has a few odd sun bleached stains where the wood was exposed and a few tiny black spots on it but I'm not too concerned, it's very solid. ...

Re: What subspecies should I get?

Nope, the enclosure i had was poorly built and it rotted. I'm low on funds now since i need to get a new enclosure, so it'll be a while before i bring home a scaley friend.
