Broken ribs

Hello, guys.
My carpet python sleep in a nest on branches. The nest is a wood box, the floor of a box has 3 planks to let poop go down (sometimes she can do that).
She lives like that for many years.
Somehow yesterday she manages to explore cracks between planks in her nest.
She has stuck!!! I got a knife and release her. She looked panicked. I saw on her side a big (middle part) ball-shaped dent.
I rebuilt the floor of her nest already.

Tonight, I scratched her terrarium with a needle to imitate a rodent, and she appeared out of her nest to check.
Tonight I can see her out of her nest. I suppose it is a good sign..
I don't want to handle her to prevent hurting her.

Could she break her ribs ?
Can I feed her or should I wait ? If so how much ?

Re: Broken ribs

Here in Ukraine we have got lovely ppl I suppose. A woman herpetologist said what I need to do in such cases. It's warm water 32-33 C. And 30 mins massage of swellings. (one of two swelling disappeared.) I had to check her reaction to massage swellings. And my snake was calm. I suppose it is a good sign.
What could happen & She said it could be lymph ducts problem or internal organs.

I'm sorry to hear about your carpet python's situation, kazz. Given the advice from the herpetologist, have you observed any positive changes in your snake's condition, and are there any specific challenges or concerns you currently have regarding her recovery?
