I think my snake eats too much - advice - Page 2

Okay, so this is related. Our ball, Gypsy, is a rescue. I don't know how old she is, but I do know she is about 4.5ft long and chunky. We feed them biweekly med-lg feeder rats. 2 each. (We have 3 snakes). Is this too much for her? She usually gets the smaller of the feeders, but she gets 2 always. She seems satisfied and is active at night as the others. Just worried she is over fed? Can you weigh a snake at home? Lol not sure how to share pix, but here's a link.

Seems like a lot of food... (and rats are high in fat)
Can't see snake in pic, just the head... take a picture from above with the whole body?

I agree that (2) medium rats bi-weekly is too much for a BP. I'd think one medium rat every 10-14 days would be better.

1/3 his weight every 2 weeks so about a medium rat that weighs 125 grams approx. Go to the geeral BOA page I posted a feeding regimen tht applies to all constrictors all sizes big and smll and it wil help you
