I bought some of my Ball Pythons through Dynasty Reptiles (based in Florida). They did have some Boas but they specialize in BPs.

Re: Should I get a BP, Corn snake, or California king snake?

If you want a bigger snake, how about a BCI? I know its not one of your choices. My first snake was a Common Boa. He sits around his cage all day but is very curious and fun to handle.

Fat or Obese BCI

Just out of curiosity, how do you deal with fat or obese snakes? Do you feed the same size prey but lengthen feeding intervals? Or do you keep the same feeding schedule with a smaller prey?

Re: Are Bi's good first snakes?

Do your research for as long as it takes for you to get comfortable. I held off for years before finally making the jump. I bought my first snake a few months ago, now I have 3. My BI's eat well,...

Re: Reptile basics enclosures

I have a 4x2x12 from them and I love it. It holds temps and humidity really well. I did add lights on mine. Maybe look into light fixture with caging on them?

Re: Help me find a suitable snake species please

My first and only snake is a BCI. Take your time, do your research and take lots of advice from here. Never stop learning and respect them. These are wild animals after all.

Yes. And yes there's always the risk, but that's why it's important you get a good thermometer.

Re: Cb70

I was looking at them too actually. As beautiful Ball pythons are, I'm pretty sure the feeding strikes will make me too uneasy.
