i got the bigger dum around late 2010 or early 2011. i got the smaller one probably a year or two later but she was much smaller than the other. She has done a lot of good growing in 3 years or so....

just a dum update

havn't posted in a long, long while so i figured i would post a few pictures of how my dumerils are growing.

I got both my dums from craigslist for free at different times and can hopefully breed...

i literally handle my snakes like once or twice every week or two. when i do take them out, they'd rather hide most of the time so i just leave them alone to hide.

when i was first given nigma a few years back i was told he is a guy, but seeing as "he" seems to be over 7ft and really thick and wide i'm not 100% sold on that so i might have to get my 2 dums...

even my 7 ft male gets a little hissy sometimes when i go to grab him out of him tank but he's just being grumpy. ive had my dumerils for 2-3 years and i am now TOTALLY in tune with what they are...

dumerils boas are pretty docile and easy to take care of. i would look for the same short temperment any snake might have. as long as their enclosure is fine and you aren't messing with them...
