Help!! Trying to identify a snake found in my garden

This snake was found in my garden (UK). It is not one of the species traditionally found in the UK I believe. It was unfortunately dead already when we found it. Any help would be great!

The picture is so small, you might as well be holding a shoelace. I can't even tell if that's its belly or back showing.

Yes i beleive that is some sort of grass snake judging by the belly pattern (assuming that is the belly we are seeing in the photo). Though i would not be able to tell you what species.
