Re: Most interesting species of snake?

I've only had Irian Jaya and coastals, and coastals were my favorite. Nothing against any other species, just enjoyed coastal carpets the most.

Re: Most interesting species of snake?

Personality wise, I would say Carpets for a non-hot. Specifically Coastal Carpets (Morelia spilota mcdowelli)

Hot I would have to say Timber Rattlesnakes aka Canebrakes (Crotalus horridus)

Re: need help with snake rack

Re: retic question.

When you say slim, what are you comparing it to?

For the larger species of snakes, retics are typically the thinner ones, especially when compared to say a Green Anaconda or Burmese Python.

New girl finally shed in 1 piece

A friend of mine contacted me a couple months back and said he had someone trying to give him a retic that was in bad shape. Asked if I was interested in taking in a surrender.

After seeing the...

Re: Heating Question

Typically racks have heat tape running across the bottom of each shelf, in the back.

Re: Heating Question

Yes and no. Your Boa will survive, however will most likely be a bit pissy with you since he wont have a thermal gradient.

Recommendation, obviously get a heat source ASAP.

No hard feelings...

Re: Unexpected Crotalus Atrox pickup

Finally had a few dry days and was able to pick up some play sand. Couple pics. Hoping to pick up some slate this week and make a natural hide for Mrs. Always Pissy.
