Yes, it is a hognose and they DO NOT have a habit of excreting a nasty smell. LOL.

Could also be a dominant trait like the bells lace monitor, but you just did not hit on the odds. You need to do a few more breeding and breed these offspring together or to one of the parents before...

My absolute favorite varanid to keep. They are super active, bold, not aggressive and can be kept in nice sized groups. Those two are very nice looking.

We do not use any cleaning products or chemicals in or around the reptile rooms. We do not disinfect anything at all. Incubators and methods have not changed.
