Mites?

So I was spraying down my terrarium today and I need a bunch of black beetle looking things in my red tail boas water bowel. My first though was oh crap I have notes but upon further inspection they are kinda biggish and I can’t find anything that looks like them on my snake. She is a red tail so she naturally has black spots so it’s kinda hard to tell so can you guys look at the pictures to see if you can tell what they are?

Re: Mites?

Those aren't mites. Am not sure what they are but definitely not mites. It would still be good to know what those really are.

Re: Mites?

Ooooh. I had no idea. My springtails are so very light in color they're almost see through. Didn't realize they could be dark.
