wobble

My mojave spinner baby wobbles as she is swallowing. She eats the mouse and then lift her head up as she is swallowing. It is at this time that her head wobbles back and forth rhythmically. She stops this after a minute or two when the mouse has reached midway down. Is this due to neurological issue with her spyder gene's or is this normal?

She doesnt like being upside down at all and fights herself quickly. I also dont see any wobble at any other time. She also strikes the mouse accurately. Would you be worried?

Re: wobble

It is likely due to her spider genes, most ball pythons with the gene will have somewhat of a wobble whether it is a constant thing or occasionally. I would not be worried since there have been much more severe cases of the spider gene. As long as she is able to successfully swallow, you should be fine.

Re: wobble

It does sound like a genetic wobble, she could have a happy life but I would strongly advise not to breed with her.
