Injured pickerel frog

Hi. I haven't been on in a long time. Hope everyone's well. I found an injured pickerel frog - cut under chin, some skin loss, fairly deep. The frog was hopping as usual, and is still acting and...

Re: 11 year old Pseudotropheus interruptus

Wow, he is old (but doesn't look it). I love his colors - they remind me of the blue morpho butterflies that I saw in Costa Rica. It is too bad he would literally kill the ladies instead of being...

Re: I want to thank the forum

I'd like to thank the forum too. My beardie is in a position where she brumates during the winter now(good setup and diet promote this I would think). If not for this forum, I'd probably think she...

Re: poor monitor

I have a 106 pound mastiff / ridgeback mix who has a strong prey drive. If my dog was attacking that monitor, I'd first try to call him off. If he was too excited to listen to me, I'd get a long...

Re: Yip its that purple again

VERY nice-looking - purple goes so well with the yellow. My bluetongue skink has that same color purple on his eyelids.

Re: tricolor hybino

I was looking at milksnakes on the net the other day - so pretty. Didn't see one quite like that though. You almost need sunglasses to look at her, she's so bright. They are in the back of my mind...

Re: George

He is beautiful. Hard to believe no one wanted him. He looks pinkish but in some photos doesn't. I can't wait to see him in the natural light.

Re: Substrate?

Mine is on bio-active soil. I couldn't be happier with it. She has been on it since July and has been extremely healthy. Right now she is brumating under a wooden hide, right on sandy dirt. I'm...

Re: My favorite snake

That is a very nice-looking snake. They're captive bred but found wild in the NJ pine barrens? I have a favorite snake too, my creamsicle corn (she's my only one).

Re: The new guys

They're beautiful and not showing their ages at all! We have some things in common. I also have a 10 year old corn (got her at 4), a beardie, a blue-tongue skink, a ferret, and a dog. My corn is...

Re: dragon ate then went into brumation

I ended up finding an answer on a bearded dragon forum. I took her out and soaked her in warm water. She voided at that time (within 5 min.). She is now in full brumation and won't be disturbed.

dragon ate then went into brumation

Hello. My dragon (6.5 years old) ate 2 days ago and pooped immediately after. The day after that, she seems to have gone into brumation again (she bromated for a month and came out of it about 3...

Re: What's the worst snake-related smell you've ever experienced?

The worst wasn't from the snake itself - a wild water snake - but from what he had in his jaws. It was half of a rotting, HORRIBLE smelling dead perch. Yum, great meal.

Re: Escapee

Good luck - as it is winter she may be in the heating vents if you have them. That's where I found my corn snake a few yrs. ago after a month.
