Re: Questions: herping in Florida

If you want to be sure to see acutus, go to Flamingo Island in the Glades, you'll see some huge ones. I found a 3' on some back road near there, that was cool.

It really depends on what you're...

Re: Is Bob Clark reputable?

He's a good dude. I've bought from him many times back in the day when I kept large snakes. Granted I lived near him so that's where I naturally went to. Every time I saw him sell something at the...

Re: Question for those who shop online for feeders

Went with American Rodent Supply. Mostly because they actually responded to my email.
I price checked with everyone and they were nearly all the same price with maybe a 5 dollar difference on the...

Re: Question for those who shop online for feeders

Just to update for anyone who may have the same question.

The box came in and of course went straight to the office and the staff had to take special notice since they forgot to put my apt number...

Re: Caiman got ups.

Most crocodilians typically need a 50/50 enclosure. A lot of people house these animals in mostly water with maybe a rock or a stick to bask on and realistically is an incorrect way to keep...

Re: Question for those who shop online for feeders

Awesome.
Thanks for the replies. It seems no one is shipping this week so that sucks.
I feed about 15 animals in a setting. I have different feeding times for different animals. I did some pricing...

Question for those who shop online for feeders

Normally I shop shows but with a broken leg, it's a bit difficult to roll around in a wheelchair at one.
That being said, I'm tired of spending $40 for one feeding at the local shop.

I live in an...

Re: Agkistrodon contortrix

If you look at your locks, go to the left in either pic. Appear to be those double winged thimble spinner things that I would assume would help keep the glass closed but it also appears the glass...

Re: Any Crotalus horridus Keepers?

Not going to say the King owner's name but his situation was literally a freak accident, especially with how wet it was over there in their area. Luckily Andy was there and got hands on the snake....

Re: Maybe Buying a Blue Tongue Skink?

Use to have a pair of BTS back in the day. Pretty cool animals. Use to get them excited with food items and they'd literally slide around in a snake like motion chasing the food items. Can't really...

Re: Any Crotalus horridus Keepers?

One of my favorite snakes.
All Ive had and encountered were calm, as stated above, and depending on location, they come in a bunch of natural color phases.

Re: Caiman got ups.

I actually finished the enclosure a couple days ago. Got tired just sitting around. Still need to properly vegetate it and such but he's enjoying the space.

Nothing new. He's doing good though. Planned on building a 7'x24"x24" enclosure this month but ended up getting t-boned by a car while on my motorcycle so that wont be happening for a couple months...

Re: Is this a rattlesnake?

Definitely an atrox and from what I can tell, a really young one.
Try using flour or baby powder and mark all of the doorways. It'll help give you an idea what room he's in when he crosses it.
