Best explanation for morphs, terms, and such on web?
Does anyone know of a good resource on the web that explains the genetics of morphs? Morph Market has a calculator but it doesn't explain terms like "DH" - and Dh, and dh, etc., or terms like "POS" and "HET." Or what morphs are dominant, co-dominant, or recessive - sometimes this is listed in a description, sometimes it isn't. I'm looking for a good comprehensive guide. I'd like to breed my snakes but don't want to just jump right in without some info forst.

Re: Best explanation for morphs, terms, and such on web?
I want to add that most guides either go to far into the weeds, or don't tell enough. A good example is looking up 'boa morphs.' I'll see hits that say, "40 boa constrictor morphs with pictures." Or "14 boa constrictor morphs with pictures." And so on. Rarely do they explain what is dominant or recessive. So for someone just learning it's like piecing together a puzzle.

There is no complete guide however morph market has the morphpedia now and that should explain those.
You can also google individual words because they are relevant to other industries as well. Like dominant gene or recessive. |
