So, with my BT, I've been testing out a 24/7 heat/light source.

I've been doing periods of 2 weeks on, and 2 weeks 12/12 light cycle. Keep note, this enclosure is not insulated, and night temps drop faster.

When I run a 24h cycle, the ambients are close to 100' and lowest is 85' in cooler spots. With this setup, I notice less to minimal basking, i'm talking 2 hours a day throughout the day. I notice more activity, and a stronger feeding response. He eats about 2-3 fuzzies a day.

With all the activity I see, I decided to switch up his enclosure and offer him more to dig and climb.

Since then, he is all over the place, climbing and digging (you'd think he was arboreal lol) He is still a small fella, just shy of two feet now. I wanna mark his age at 8 months. But I can't be sure.

When i run the 12/12 cycle, I see more basking, less activity, and a "dull" feeding response. Though he eats the same, I have to leave it in there for when he wants it.

I'm just looking for input and opinions, and even experience! I'm just buttoning up his big tank this weekend, then im off to find some suitable dirt. Hopefully he's in next week.

Looking good! Just goes to show, they will use every bit of space you give them, regardless of whether they are "supposed" to or not... Can't wait to see the cage finished!
