Most dangerous and most venomous are two different topics. Taipans are usually on top of most lists but in reality kill very few people.

No they are not... they pose very little danger to people as there are no high population of people in their endemic teritory. They are however very very dangerous to small mammals in their teritory.

The most dangerous venomous snake in the world is the is the one that just bit you. Any snake that has the potential to kill you in one bite is dangerous. If it has the potential to kill one man or 100 men in one bite, does it really matter? Some of the most venomous snakes are not the most dangerous snakes, because they do not come in contact with many people.
