So as you may know i have had a regurge issue with diablo. the first time i fed him it came up and wasnt digested. the second time it was about 90% digested. well i was told to wait 3 weeks. he went into shed because of mites. mites are all gone and i found nix worked the best over reptile spray. well he is 48 inches and only 392g. in my eyes he is way under weight. well sunday was about 16 days so i tossed a 24 g small rat in there. he bit it in the neck and took it down sideways. super neat to see a snake bend its food. well i waited till thursday and handled him. he is a completly different snake than when i brought him home. before i would set him on the ground and he is like a machine gun comming after me. now he is calm and very curious. completly different than my dums. i cannot believe how curious he is. and he loves to climb. he has so much pink and reds in him it is insane. i know sorry for not having pictures.

so i came to the conclustion he needs atleast 4-5 days to digest his food before handling, and all is good. he pooped twice since i had him and they both were firm and not runny. now time to get some weight on him.

Glad he's doing ok. I can't remember if you've already said from your other posts but if it takes him 4-5 days then its possible your temps might be too low?

Hot spot is 92 ambients are 80 and cool side is 78. Remind you he is a bcc not a bci.

That's about right for a BCC if it was a substantial sized meal for him.

92 seems way to hot for ambient. I use a temp gun and get my readings directly from where the snake lives, on the floor of the enclosure. If your ambient is 92 the floor temp could be much hotter, I would look into this right away. Normally they can handle being held three days after eating. The food will not be totally digested, but it is enough where regurge isn't a issue. But if you prefer to give him a couple extra days there is nothing wrong with that. How old is Diablo? How often are you feeding? Does the rat leave a obvious bulge after it is down? If not you may need to go up to the next size rat. I feed every 7 to 10 days for the first year and a half or so, then I go out to every two weeks. Once they hit 3 years old their growth starts to really slow down, it will never stop completely, but it does slow down quite a bit. Depending on the species once they can accept jumbo rats or 3 to 5 lb rabbits the feedings can be extended out to monthly. Of course everyone is different. I don't believe in power feeding at all. Glad you got him to keep it down!!! Pics when possible would be awesome.

***UPDATE***
I believe I mis read your reply, ambient is 80 and 78, and the actual temps on the hot side where the snake is actually located is 92. What is the temp on the cool side? This means the surface where the snake is located, rather that be the floor, top of shelf or hide etc................ Ambient is not useful and doesn't need to be mentioned, it confuses simple minded members such as myself, lol!!!!
