Hey guys first off Id like to say Hi to everyone on the forum and am looking forward to communicating with you all! :D Ive had my Kenyan Sand Boa for the last 10 years! I love him, well tempered and a nice eye piece! I have a few concerns though... A week ago I saw my friends Kenyan Sand Boa which he bought about 3 years ago. His is about 3-4' long and fairly thick. My boa is just over a foot, and is still eating fuzzys. I have heard that Males are generally smaller than the females, so I assumed that was the case, funny thing is I got my sexed (dont know if that is the right word) and it is female! Is there such thing as Dwarfism in the snake world!? Dont get me wrong I still love my Boa and all but I feel like I was cheated! So if anyone has a explanation of what might have happened please let me know!

Anywho I can post some pictures of him too if anyone is interested! And thanks for your time!

Brandon :D

Brandon, if you email me the pics, I'll post them for you. michaels226@frontier.com

On the subject of dwarfism in snakes, I'm sure it can happen. I've seen full grown snakes of all sizes. Personally, I'd love to have a platinum retic that wouldn't get longer than 8 feet.

Welcome to the forums, Brandon!

I do not keep KSBs, but there could be any one of several explanations: genetics, meal frequency, parasites, etc. Pictures and a feeding history would certainly help readers to help you.
