This is my little boy that I picked up at the expo today. The vendor said he last ate on tuesday, so when should i offer him his next meal? He is apparently 1.5 months old. And, i put two hides in his enclosure (one in warm, one in cool) but he insists on going into neither. He's been exploring since i got him. Is this nrmal bp behavior?
Im not quite sure what to name him yet. Any suggestions? So far Luca is in the lead.

Offer it on tuesday or whenever you want to feed.
He's fine for now. He'll explore a bit.
I'd go with Snowflake.

Awesome find :) He really is a cutie!! Personally- I think they name themselves alot of times.
His exploring is neither good nor bad- he is likely just checking things out, he also could be looking for exits or better hidey places... afterall he has no clue you put two there for him, and they probably smell very much like you- which isn't a comfort to him at this moment. Nothing like Big Pink Thing smell -- 'its going to get me again! Eeek!'.
In regards to names-- I tend to do themes, shows, or letter names. For instance - all my pieds and het pieds have P names- Piedyed, Phoebe, Phaedre, Prue, Piper, Paige, Phoebe, Pinkei-- so on and so forth. From my standpoint it makes their het easily recognizable when I'm looking at them.
Other people may say- hey I want all Fae names or Elven. Or Kings, Queens, Amazons.... If you were a BSG fan- Boomer, Apollo, Adama, Cylon, Starbuck, Athena, Tigh... (I'm sure you get my drift)
Naming is part of the fun for me in all this.
As far as when to feed him.... most will say to wait until he's settled in for about a week. Others will attempt a feeding immediately. It really is a matter of preference. I don't know which is better honestly- early lore would tell you to wait- since none of us are actually IN the head of the BP and can't know what they are thinking- I think its a matter of preference. Waiting will not hurt him in the slightest. And it will give him the opportunity to get the lay of his new land, and settle in a bit.

Sambo is a racial term that in modern English is used offensively towards people of the black race.

And it was originally a book about an Indian boy who eats pancakes. Which happened to be a favorite of mine as a child.

No worries. Just found it a bit...odd. I live in the south-- it is not used in nice ways down here generally.

Me too honestly-- loved the show- was lucky enough to go to the final screening as my BF was in the industry at that time.
Sorry not trying to hijack the thread :p

Yeah I lived in central IL and they get pretty rough. I know it is way worse further south. As for racism I grew up the only whit kid is a Mexican neighborhood. And unfortunately I couldn't run very fast.

Here's a better pic of his colors
given how some of his "aliens" look like the painting "The scream" by Evard Munch, I'd name him Munch in honor of the artist. LOL

Brc, you are a saint! He is now Evard. (The artist is edvard but i like evard). THANK YOU!
You're welcome and sorry for the misspelling. Sometimes my fingers don't listen to what I want to convey. LOL.
On the saint thing... well... LOL
