View Full Version : Still trying to wrap my head around hets and co dominants
I've read a couple charts and don't fully understand it. If I had a het/ co dominant morph male, and I bred it to a regular female, what has a chance of showing up?
If I breed het to het, would they all come out with the morph coloration?
First of all, het/co dom are two different genetics, one is dominant and one is recessive.
If you breed a co-dom to a normal, you should see 50% morphs, 50% normals.
Het x het will give you 25% homo, 50% het and 25% normal.

co dominant traits dont create hets
like mykee said, het x het= 25% visuals and 66% poss hets
het x homo= 50% visuals and 100% hets
het x normal= all 50% hets
