i have 3 does and 1buck{mice}, they have been together for 16 days, so today i put all the females in separate compartments and left the buck by himself.

but they all seem frantic(maybe anxiety?). and I'm not even really sure if any are pregnant.
or if i should have kept the does together in the 10 gal and put the buck in a compartment.
or just leave them all together until a doe gives birth then take the buck out.

and the 19th day should be the earliest day that any one of my does can give birth. its coming up so fast.

I shouldn't over think myself so much. but what should i do??

I would have left them all together, even the male. They are social creatures so leaving them all alone won't be very good for them.

Ditto ^ Leave them together.. No need to separate them all.

Seems to depend on where you ask this question, I've noticed. I don't keep any mice myself. If you ask this question of most pet hobbyist keepers, they tell you to separate the bucks from the does after you think they have bred. However, 90% or more of the breeders for snake food that I've seen get asked this, say keep them together all the time. I've noticed that both camps generally agree on keeping breeding females together as long as they get along.
