well it was cleaning day for my group, and my green needed a bath after a really bad shed :sad:

Isn't that a beautiful snake? :D My sister in-law had a yellow anaconda for a while that was a little bundle of aggression! Regardless they are simply gorgeous!

You need to recheck all your humidity gauges and the like. Greens shouldn't be having bad sheds.

I was misting the entire time, humidity did not go below 80% while he shed. I discussed my setup with MarvelFreak (he has a yellow and a young green) and mine is right there with his. If he has another bad shed then I will investigate further.

He has never been aggressive with me, never taken a swing or anything since day one.

What are you using as substrate? (just curious)

I have a small spot of cypress mulch under his hide, the rest is river rock and water. I do only have a screen top, and something I missed when re-reading my convo with Marvel is keeping the top part of the cage covered to keep in the humidity.

Why are you using river rock as substrate? Did you learn to do this from a knowledgeable source?

No it is how his tank is set up, cypress, river rock, then his water/soaking spot. The river rock runs under the cypress, and any dirt or poop is washed down and filtered through it. It is not a final setup, but is working for the time being. I have seen a couple tanks using a rock/water setup and thats where I got the idea, but some did not have it filtered and I saw that being a major PITA to clean so I set it up with a filter on it. I keep looking at boaphile and doing a split setup like the one I have now, just larger. Althought those vivs look like they may be difficult to modify(but I am not positive as I have never had my hands on one.)
