Also is it just me or are the eyes of the saudi sand boa on the top of its head? I've never seen one before, pretty cool snake!

They ARE on the top of her head! LOL
So cute.
She is very, very small. You can kind of see where she's sitting in the palm of either my hand or my husband's hand. Same with the others.
the Johnii is the biggest, but still very much a baby. Also she's in blue!

The saudi's eyes creep me out.... :s just... reminds me of a flounder. lol

Other than that, they're all gorgeous and adorable! I love the indian sand boa :)

Even the breeder told me he thought she looked like a fish *LOL* i think so too.
absolutely adorable in person though!

I think she only will get a couple feet. one of the smallest sand boas, in all regards.

I've named the male, "Jet"
the female saudi "Vivi" after my friend Vivianna, and the female johnii "Ornella" lol

Jet is constantly moving his eyes, and turning his head and looking around.
Vivi is twitchy and has struck a few times...which is funny because she is SO tiny.
Ornella is in shed, and is slow and steady. Can't wait to see her bright new suit!

Feeding time! For Jet and for Vivi. Hahahaha breeder told me she'd only eat live. *smug* i'm very good at offering thawed food. The trick is to read the body language...note the interest...then wiggle it away from them...they can't resist if they think it's getting away! hehe

Both feeding on frozen/thawed. Johnii has yet to eat, but she did show some interest even though she's in shed. We'll have to wait and see!

Alright! Someone finally shed!
Ornella the Sunset Indian sand boa, Eryx johnii. Some things I forgot to mention before, She is an F1 from the original Sunset female, bred by Rick Staub. She should keep a lot of her orange as she ages, though her banding may be lost, which is typical.

More photos of the Saudi Arabian sand boa (Eryx jarakari). I found her spurs facinating, as they are soft and she seems to be able to move them at will. She was vigriously wiggling her tail at me, while handling, but then settled down. She just didn't want me taking pics of her fat tail!
She calmed down nicely and ten got to go back into her cozy home. In the meantime, i got some nice fishy faced sand boa pics!
