Could you identify this snake? Found on the Atlas mountains in Morocco at about 2800 meters up right next to a small river. I know that it's not your area but I'd think il ask anyway. It has a small tip on its nose upwards and is about 20 cm long. Sorry if the picture is a bit blurry, im going to write some hopefully obvious info depending on the pic quality. Quite clear orange colour, zigzag pattern on the back.

Sounds like some kind of Viper. Not something you want to mess with. Is that the only picture?

Did it look a bit like this? I'm not sure if the lighting is off.

This is a photo of a small viper species specific to the moroccan atlas mountains; vipera monticola.

@ alessia55, No i don't belive that's the same snake. The snake that I found had a quite distinct tip on the nose, it was also much more visibly orange. I have this picture tho to maybe show the tip on the nose.
