So I finally picked up a suitable male for my girl Xea, Faustus is a 2008 sibling from Gamma/Antonio I got from Luke Snell, I think this pairing will produce some really unique looking offspring with some crazy tipping. I only wish I didn't have wait so long for Xea to mature.

And his future girlfriend Xea a 2011 DJJ from breeder unknown.

Thanks all, I'm a sucker for tipping so I would expect even the siblings will look killer.

Ok, I might not ask this the correct way, but is there something genetically I would look for to find a carpet with that "fishnet" look? Or is that what "tipping" is? I've seen a few awesome looking guys with the fishnet look and I just don't know where I would look, what it's called, if it's in a specific subspecies, etc. but Faustus is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so jealous right now, it hurts.

It is refered to as tipping, the best thing to look for if thats what you like is to see pics of the parents, if the parents have lots of tipping then its likely the offspring will. The tipping generally starts to show after several sheds and usually get more intense as the snake ages to around 2-3 years. Tipping shows up well in diamonds and some jungles or a cross of th two, if you like Faustus's look then I would recomend looking for a 75%-88% diamond jungle cross, you should find what your looking for with them. pure diamonds have the look too but can fetch a high price compared to a cross with a jungle.

Ohhhh, ok! That's what I gathered every time someone mentioned tipping. Good to know! Sero doesn't have a whole lot of that, so I had no idea. I've just been curious as to what it is I was so attracted to, plus I'm researching for the future when I feel ready to breed Sero. No idea what a good match for her would be, but I do LOVE how Fautus looks! Thanks guys!
