Help with identifying this snake

Could someone help me with identifying this type of snake? He was cought in Bulgaria in the Rhodope mountains. As you can see it is quite the little fella. Has been sleeping all day so I guess he is nocturnal.

That looks almost like a "Slow worm" or legless lizard. How long is it?
