Since I decided im going to wait awhile to get a snake I started looking at more and trying to decide what I want. Thought I was dead set on a ball python but after seeing these im interrested. Size wise they are perfect, I love the looks of them and sounds like they have a good temperment and are a little more active then a BP will be.

Would love to get some more info from owners of this snake and also who sells them? whats the average price? cant find anything on google. thanks

At a reptile expo they can be as cheap as 20 dollars.

I'm not sure exactly what you are after, but I would say that is considerably more snake than a ball. Just my 2 cents.

how so? everything I read said they only get about 6' or less like the BP. Seems like BP just hide most of the time where bao's are more active and everything makes it sound like the sonoran has a very good temperment. But like I said I would deffinatly like to learn more about this species and appreciate all opinions. thanks

how hard are they to take care of?

that being said all the local pet shops sell frozen mice and rats so Im all set there which im happy about.

I don't have any first hand experience with Sonoran boas but, a 6+ foot boa is alot more snake than a bp which almost never comes any where close to 6 feet. More like 3.5 feet. But regardless a 6 foot boa is a much heavier bodied snake than even the biggest bp. Also I seem to remember reading somewhere that Sonorans were the nippiest of boas...not too sure on that. Anyway my personal experience is more in the smaller boas (rosys and sands) so maybe someone with more first hand knowledge will chime in. in the mean time do more research. I would hate for your first snake to be more than you knew you were in for.
