Just wondering if someone can help I have looked on the net Nd there is a lot of mixed opinions on how long you should wait to handle a snake after feeding. Some people say same day but I don't want him to regurgitate his food and some say 3 days. I can't go 3 days I'm in the process of trying to tame him.

It kinda depends on the size of the meal, my jungle eats huge rats and i wont handle him for at least three days after feeding. My snakes that eat smaller prey i wont touch for two days after feeding.

The most common rule is 48 hrs, however if you feed larger prey Items you should wait 72hrs. What kind of Python are you trying to tame?

I have only had him 8 weeks he has shed twice he is still nippy to measure or weigh him. For a snake of his age what sort of length is average any suggestions on taming him

Don't feed him anything too huge but still give him 48 hours. If he's eating well for you, you could be handling him 4-5 days a week, which is plenty for taming him. Also, most carpets tend to relax and tame down a bit by the time they hit the 3 foot mark, fyi.

My opinion on this subject is totally contrary to popular opinion, but you can read about the logic behind that in several other threads :)
