My python has just pooped for the first time with me, I had him out to get some sun on the the trampoline and he went onto the grass and pooped! I just wanna make sure his poop is normal. Does it look ok?

It doesn't look normal to me at all but then again I haven't seen much for poop. Hopefully someone can chime in with more info, sorry.

the large white lumps are urates (urine/uric acid) and the rest is poop
it's perfectly normal and definitely NOTHING to worry about mate

Smores gone horribly wrong...
Looks fine, the white stuff is urates (snakes don't pee) and the dark stuff is feces.

K I guess if those urates look fine to you guys, poop look overly green to me and I've never had urates look that big, nor had that much in one poop.

I have seen a pile of RTB poo once that looked like several marshmallows, it may not be a common sight, but it's also not all that rare either.

Just so the OP doesn't need to ask when this snake "pees".
A snake has its urine and fecal material released together from the same place and isn't seperate systems like mamals. They do not pee in the way we do but can still release large amounts of fluid as well as the urate so don't be surprised to see a gush with the white and no poo or poo and gush or any other mix of the 3 you can think of. This was my adult male jcp. It was the urate followed by the gush followed by the poo.
Funny thread!!!

Thank u for clarifying the gush thing! As soon as all the poop plopped out it WAS followed by a gush of fluid that looked like apple juice! I'm relieved that it's nothing to be worried about!!

Part 2:wacky: I guess the first part was mainly the urates, but this part is the actual 'poop' and comparing it with other pics I say it looks normal and heathy!;)
