Was wondering if anybody can help or give me an idea as to why my 9 1/2 ft Red Tail Boa would have real cloudy eyes for over a week and not shed and not be pregnant but her eyes cleared up and she ate after 2 weeks??

Sounds like a slow shed.

Wait it out. She'll probably shed soon.

My big Jungle Carpet does this. As they get older it takes longer for them to shed. Mine only shed 7 times in the last two years. When she does shed it's thicker than is use to be. How old is your Boa?

Are you sure the temperatures are correct? A moult is about a 2 week process with the cloudy chunk right at the mid-way point for a few days, so if it has proper conditions, it should take about a week from the mid point, but none of that has anything to do with it being gravid or not, so I'm not sure how that comes into play...

We are just trying to understand cause she struck a rat and let it go 2 wks ago so we weren't sure what was going on with her... If it was she was getting ready to shed or if she was pregnant that's why the whole pregnant thing came in to the situation

Is she supposed to be pregnant? did she mate? ...did I miss something here?

Increase the humidity in that tank. If she's shedding in pieces the humidity isn't good enough in there.

I agree with alessia, definitely up your humidity atleast until she is out of shed. I keep mine over 50% and I mist when she goes into shed to increase it from there...

Could you post pics of the setup and tell us what the temps and humidity are? If you do that, we could help you fix any problems you may have.
