So I had someone email me with a heck of a deal on an albino boa.... but it has a recessed eye on one side he said he had gotten from a breeder that was moving out of state on a trade with some frogs. He said the breeder told him it wasn't a genetic defect but caused from a piece of shaving.... ( I know sounds sketchy) I proceeded to ask the guy some questions...
How old? 5months
How long? Almost 2 feet
was the injury healed? Yes
Did he have trouble shedding with the eye problem? No
What its eating? 3 hoppers weekly
Hand tame- friendly- and eating
Asking 30.00 as he only wanted the frogs and doesn't like snakes. He was asking 50 but knocked the price down as I have to drive a little ways to get it.
Now I did some research and found that eye defects are pretty common in albino boas and they say they make good pets but bad for breeding.
Def need a little input on this... the pics look healthy but the eye looks to be toward in the eye socket leaving the back part showing some pink but doesn't look as it was ever infected I asked if it was healed he said there was no injury to heal when he got it...
