It looks like the fuzzy is giving your BRB a temple massage :D

Right? It made me giggle. Especially because Zeus didn't seem to fond of it haha

Zeus looks very full and content after his two fuzzies! And he really is a beautiful baby :D

Thank you :) He's the brownest baby I've seen though. Everyone else's babies seem to be either more orange or more red. I'm getting more and more curious about his adult color! I do like his brown color now.

I bet it's gonna take him at least 3-4 days to digest!

I bet as Zeus matures, you'll start to see his color come in. I wish i had gotten mine as a baby, instead of an adult, just to be able to see him grow up :)

Yeah I'm glad he's a baby. I think he's very young too. I have no idea how to tell, and they aren't 100% sure where I got him from either, but they think he can be more than like 3-4 months old. He had a lot of loose skin when I got him, so I love watching him fill that up. I can't wait to watch him grow, but at the same time I want him to stay this little! Haha

The only downside to him being a baby is that I worry a lot more than I do about my Milk. I got her as a young adult, so I know she's pretty hardy. But the baby seems so fragile! I was very surprised that he wasn't at all nippy. He's a sweet little boy who loves being a bracelet haha!. And it's super cute that, unlike Penelope, when I have him out he'll cruise around but always stays close to me. Penelope tries to book it most of the time lol

You are doing great with Zeus, as long as you provide him with all his requirements, he will grow and thrive in your care. I really look forward to seeing his progress pictures as he grows!

Considering that I'm like a new mom obsessed with her kid(s), I'm always taking pictures haha. My poor snake-fearing friends on facebook already hate me. And I've been nice and haven't posted any feeding pics there lolz

You're talking to one of the queens of picture taking, lol. I swear, every time one of my snakes poke their heads out, i grab the camera! My non snake friends actually love seeing the pics i post on my facebook page, they say it helps them face their fears, and gets them to accept them as pets. :)

Lucky you lol. My friends either love them or hate them.

I wouldn't worry about his color, Nero is pretty brown, but take him out into the sun and his reds really start to show through.

He's still brown in the sun lol! But he's pretty young still

Combining a few responses, hope people don't mind....

Brazilians are notorious for developing color as they mature. A few also lose it, but it's uncommon. I'm sure Zeus will shine.

It always bothers me when stores do not know the age of their animals. :-(

LOL one of my holdbacks did the exact same thing yesterday!!! I was lying on my bed at the time, and she *still* refused to move away from me. One coil was always resting on or looped around me.

I wish more snake owners did that, KK. As an industry, we *need* to raise the awareness of reptiles as fully acceptable and equal pet choices, and you are doing a great service by leading that charge!

Great point. That's another thing Brazilians are famous for. Outside light really makes their dormant reds come out, and even the brownest adult will glow a smoky earth-red. (Not saying yours is brown, Kyle, just a general point!)

Cheers all!
