I think this new rack is also helping but today I pulled her out without touching her with a hook first. I used to have to do this to tell her it was not feeding time but not today.

I firmly believe that out of all the Dums I have, she did not come from a pet environment so her personality is a little different than the others. Once shes out, shes one of the calmest Dums I have but its just getting her out that was a little bit of a challenge, however today, no probs with not touching her with a hook first. This is very cool.

my friends white lips are like that

they will attack you like mad as you get them out the tank

once out they are a completely different calm pair of snakes

they just tend to be tank defensive

cheers shaun

^^^ Mayhem is the same, he's a puppy dog once you hook em out, but before that he wants nothing to do with you. Funny thing is, he doesn't like going back in either ;)

yeah that is funny. I havent met a snake that wasnt like putting little kids to bed when its time to put them back.

Euryale doesnt even flinch anymore when I pull her out either. I did try to confirm this last night and sure enough, tame as can be, even when I reach in to pull her out.

That sounds like really good progress and hope it continues. :)

My dumerils will pretty much go in their tubs as long as I gently point their heads into it and let them go on their own. But most of my others fight the whole time, especially my RTB who likes to wrap herself around my hand and arm several times and my JCP, and it takes two of us to put her up most days lol Yeah, pretty much like fighting kids to go to bed at bedtime. A couple of mine will even pout lol
