Hey this is my female yellow anaconda. she was born on Dec. 1st 2011. She is a great eater and by far my favourite snake. She is super tame compared to most condas i've seen. Anyway when i first got her in January she had a very bad respiratory infection and she acted very different. she was slow and acted like she was half dead. hard to explain but she'd barely move. Anyway I did what i can raising the temps and humidity andd after about 2 weeks things starting looking better. I was surprised at how fast she bounced back. She is has grown around an inch give or take and she also pu ton some weight. before you could see her loose skin but she has definitely plumped up. She even nipped me a few times when i picked her up by surprise! she packs quite a bite for atleast that shows she has the energy to do so now. anyway i would consider her fully recovered and growing now and i hope you enjoy these pics. I couldnt find much on anacondas especially yellows on this website so i thought i'd post these.

and by the way i was wondering the WORTH of a female yellow anaconda, i'm not planning to selll but the guy who i got her from wanted to sell her for 300 to me. after i went to see her and saw the condition she was in i negotiated it all the way down to 80. good deal but he was desperate i guess. anyway if you could tell me the value that'd be great thanks!

You need to use the code, not the <a href> code.
Put the image address between [IMG] ... the image address is the part after img src=" in the <a href> code.
For example,

Glad her health is on the up, she's beautiful ;-)

Wow her pattern is flawless! Thats a very beautiful yellow annie. Alot of yellows go anywhere from $200-400 regardless of sex, but then again that depends on the breeder. Iv even seen greens reach $500 which is dumb seeing as yellows are alot more rare but it seems they have a more nasty behavior than greens.
You lucky to have gotten one before the ban kicked in. I almost bought a yellow from a clutch but a bunch of people beat me to the punch the next day so i got a green instead, but i wanted a green in the first place anyways. Plus im sure greens will be added to the ban list soon.

I too like the looks of Yellows and this one in particular is flawless. I think the feeding pics looks great as well.
I handled a Yellow once and was warned about his temperment but he never once struck at me. He was completely chill. Now the guy who warned me about him, when he walked by, this snake struck at him while chillin on on my arm. That was funny. :)

I do want to respond to this. The addition of Yellows to the Lacey Act is not an outright ban on these snakes. It only restricts the transport of them across state lines. If your state allows them to be kept, there is no change there.

Yea I saw that... One of my friends, who I'm not completely sure is going to be able to take care of it correctly got one.. and it really makes me a little mad cause in a few years it'll probably be up for sale and not in the best conditions :(
I wish breeders would really start emphasizing the amount of work these animals are, and not just Annies but all forms of reptiles..
I heard someone telling a customer that Sav's were easy to care for, they eat mice or rats... How do you go up to people and tell them, "Sorry to interrupt, I couldn't help but over hear you save Sav's eat rodents... Sav's are actually insectivores" (Well now that I put it that way, is was different in my head, it doesn't sound so bad..)
I realize if I did this it would make the seller look bad.. but hopefully the next time they sell a Sav they'll change what they say..

Beautiful Yellow! I payed $100.00 for mine. Yours looks good and health. If you have any question feel free to ask. We have several anaconda owners on here they just don't post much. If you want to check mine out here's his thread. http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/general-boa-forum/84065-my-yellow-anaconda.html
