Hey, I had a little move around in sasha's viv, added some vines and a piece of coral. It was looking a little bland in there as most bark and log hides tend to rot or grow mould in the high humidity, and plastic reptile plants started rusting at the base after a while of getting sprayed.

I really need to upgrade her to a 4ft soon but this is what ive come up with for now and a couple of pics of sasha having a little explore...

Lol I hope so, shes an awesome snake D. When I get her out she just seems to large for the viv, I no she's about 5ft so I feel guilty for not getting her a larger home yet.

How much do they like climbing on things? Im getting a BRB soon and all i know is that my black milksnake loves burrowing and doesnt have any interest climbing anything. Just wondering how to setup the new temporary enclosure (big 30x18x12 sterilite tub) for now (planning on good cages once they reach full size, obviously :D)

Skumbo, Brazilians will climb a lot when young, but this decreases as they age. When adults they are very terrestrial.

Jamie, lookin' good!

Looks great. The only concern I have is if the coral maybe too rough for a snake.

Thanks! I'll get a "taller" tub then and put stuff for her to climb on, and see how she ends up liking it :P

I was thinking that as well, its probably alright (you'd think snakes are supposed to climb around rocks and whatnot which can have pretty sharp edges) but I'd keep an eye on it or swap it for something else

I was worried about this when i first thought of putting it in there, however its quite an old piece of coral so the sharp edges have worn down. I can comfortably run my palm all over it without pain so it should be ok. ill keep an eye on her belly tho, just in case :D

I was picturing the fresh stuff like I have. I sliced my hand pretty good when I removed it last.:(

Its basically an old ornament that I've put to good use... Yes the fresh stuff is like razor blades :D
