Haha! Skyler is moulting, as are a few others, hence the conspicuous absence of updated images of them :)

This one has almost tripled size in the almost 10 months that I've had it, but that might have something to do with it's food intake. The little oinker wolfs-back at least 3 large mice per meal. Between digesting and moulting I barely get any time to play with her, lol.

Ok hearing that is encouraging.. I fed mine two little mice a week ago.. still had a bulge last monday and he ate another mouse... so I didnt want to attempt another, was a little gunshy that hed overfeed himself. Hes been eating consistently two mice per meal, albeilt small ones. Has definitely starting getting bigger though, next meal I should be able to up his food size a bit.
Im so bad with mouse sizes, I think hes eating hoppers now but cant remember if its hoppers or fuzzies :S

Tagz is around the 3 foot mark now and has been eating full-grown mice since she was this big...
http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb347/CDN_Blood/Rainbows/Tagz/file-12.jpg
The first 3 or 4 meals were singles and that made her grow so quickly that the next 3 or 4 meals were doubles. That quickly snowballed into triples once she was big enough to hold them comfortably, etc.
I've never used a feeding schedule for any of my snakes (it too unnatural and it can induce bad habits) and I've always opted for larger meals with more time between them. That maximizes the social time I have with them between meals, as well as gets them feeding in a more natural way, but that's just me :)

Still a little small for that, but it won't be long...probably by summer :)

3 mice compared to a weanling shouldn't be too much of a jump. That's what my RTB is on and I think she may be the same size as Tagz

Mice are small compared to a weaned rat. She's not quite there yet, lol. Although I'm into large meals with more time between them, I don't want to push it too far ;)

hmm Id say that Dio is just getting that size.. by the time I get home from this job in a week he should have digested everything and will be hungry.. When I am home I try and keep a somewhat regular schedule but have to leave for work quite often so it doesnt quite work out to a regular schedule..
I did the bigger meal thing with my ball python and she just ballooned.. Ive been a little hesistant to do that with Dio because he was so much smaller when I got him so ive been sticking with the widest part of the body rule.
I strayed away from that with the Ball, and escalated her food fairly quickly, perhaps too quickly. Was a little worried with a couple of the rats I fed her, so have been a little gunshy with the feeding on this one. He does seem to have quite the voracious appetite though

It was very light in those images, I had just unearthed it after shedding and it was night time. During the day it's darker with much less white, but it still gets a little closer to adult colouration with every moult. Another year or two and it'll be a nice reddish-brown like Skyler :)

Wow! I love how she/he seems to have a transparent film over her colors. Almost like being in blue and iridescence at the same time! Almost like she has a pair of nude sheen pantyhose on her.
She's a Colombian rainbow right? I thought their colors were...well...to be honest...kind of bland, especially compared to other rainbows but she's absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE the last pic of her!
P.S. I can't stand calling an animal "it" but I can't make up my mind if I should use feminine or masculine pronouns with this one lol

Is it just me or do BRB's grow really fast? Ours has surpassed the longicuada we have and then some. Is yours Colombian Todd? I just started feeding ours weaned rats and he is maybe a little smaller than yours.

Yup, subadult Columbian. If you thought they were bland, chances are that you haven't been seeing healthy specimens, or have just been seeing sub-par images of them, lol.
It takes very little light for their iridescence to dazzle the eye because they're dark in colour, but Tagz has a way to go before the adult colouration comes in. Each shed gets a little closer, but another year or two will really see this one turn in to a stunning little boa :)

Baby rainbows seem programmed to grow fast. Bigger size = less chance you will be lunch.

In the couple of months I've had mine, her length seems to have doubled. She's still really slender. And since her food still leaves a nice size bump, I haven't moved her food up in size yet. She came to me eating small adult mice (live as I haven't gotten her to switch to f/t yet). Her temperament has calmed down alot as well which makes me really happy. I enjoy holding her and watching her. She's curious as hell when she's out.

Sounds right! They grow fast, but never fat (unless you're doing it wrong -- remember, this species is also know as the "slender boa"). I've had many babies stay on rat pinks for nine or more months. My 2011 litter, in fact, is the first group I've had that will be entirely on rat fuzzies before six months of age. They usually calm down within a few months, unless you got an especially feisty or nervous one, and then their inquisitive nature starts to shine. Well done!

UPDATE: 2012.03.29
Just a couple of updated shots since Tagz made the jump from mice to small rats and started growing in leaps and bounds. This one is currently 2 fingers tall and the same in width. I like that Columbians are more robust than other Rainbow subspecies - it's what draws me to them :P

Thanks everyone! There are still a couple of years to go before adult colouration, but it's fun to watch as some colours deepen and others disappear. Tagz just celebrated her 1 year anniversary earlier this week, so it was time to capture the moment, lol. This snake sure doesn't look like it did a year ago :)

Yep, and now that she's had a taste, all I hear from upstairs is "Garçon...GARÇON! More champagne!". She's gettin' on my last nerve with it. I *knew* it was a mistake to teach the kids to talk :)
