Hi Guys,
I got my signed copy in the mail last night.... looks quite interesting and in depth. I've only had a quick glance and have not thouroughly gone through it. It has plenty of wild pics which is great and looks like the authors devoted quite a section into the natural history of each species.
Plenty of pics as well of great looking captive bred specimens from OZ as well as OS breeders plus a section on morphs...
Well worth it IMO for Morelia enthusiast :)

It has a great section on M. spilota spilota Shaun, pics of the variants and the natural history and habitats (localities). Well worth it alone just for that section for yourself mate (as I know you have a keen interest in Diamonds).

It is a fantastic book. Shaun you are spot on about Nick and Justin's knowledge. What really to got me was the wild accounts and photography. Really makes me want to take a trip to Oz someday. Did anyone else drool when they saw the hypo centrailian? Nick mutton has a pair now so hopefully in a couple of years well see them in the hobby.

I was just at Cape Tribulation, Daintree and the Atherton tablelands. Sadly the only Morelia I saw was this one... (I was really hoping for JCPs and it's variants)

being honest diamonds are the main reason i buy carpet books mate
the day i flicked through the first snake book i picked up,it was diamonds that jumped out at me
although i appreciate all snake species, nothing makes me feel the same as looking at quality diamonds
if only i lived in Gosford mate ;)

Some people and old text (even here) still refer to them as Amethystine...
From my understanding Morelia amestistina and Morelia kinghorni are a seperate species now.. Amethystine in PNG and Scrub here in OZ (considered one and the same not so long ago I'm sure).

I recently got "The complete boa constrictor" by vin russo.... abit pricey at £49.99 but i got it for £29 with loyalty card to Pilbara Reptiles.. totally worth every penny. It concentrates on bci and their localities/ morphs and the back has some info on bcc. If "the complete carpet python" is anything like this it will be good for expert and novice's to read. Grats on the purchase mate. :)
