I saw stephanbakir (if that's how its spelled) Talking in another thread about dwarf burms. My questions are, are these common at reptile expos and how much do they go for US. And any other general care tips would be appreciated

I've never heard of a dwarf burm, but that doesn't mean they don't exist, I also have never seen one, but that doesn't mean much. Something to take into consideration, just because it is labeled as a dwarf, doesn't mean it won't grow to the size of a normal one. This occurs in the retic world quite a bit.
Which thread was he talking about dwarf burms?
edit: nevermind, just saw it.

did some digging, here's some info. sounds like, just like dwarf and super dwarf retics, dwarf burms originate from a small isolated island in the south pacific/indian ocean

As far as I know, the only person currently selling them is Bob Clark (its easiest to reach him on facebook oddly enough) they run about 700$ each.
(My friend owns a pair, but they are a few years from breeding. Males max around 5 feet and females around 6-7, males reach sexual maturity at 14-18 months and females at 36.
There are NO KNOWN MORPHS in dwarf burms so if you see one advertized, they are fake (That being said, my friend is planning on breeding his dwarf to a hypo green burm 100% het albino 50% poss het Labyrinth, the babies will be 50%mainland 50% dwarf burms, half the clutch will be hypos, all babies will be 100% het green 50% het albino and 25% het lab. every time you breed the babies back to a dwarf they become higher and higher % dwarf, thus making them smaller and smaller. (there are NO 100% super dwarf retic morphs either, even goldenchild/anery/tiger/platinum/sunfire/albino SD retics are going to be % sd % mainlands)

I'am going to do some research in the vendors at my reptile expo I'am going to, maybe they have some babies or yearlings. But If I can't find any I'll just do some more research and wait a couple months

Make sure to get something that "rare" from a quality breeder, or you don't know what you are getting. Make sure to inquire about the parents (have that on the papers you get from the breeder) (if its a WC baby its fake) Bob clark doesn't even know which island the original dwarf burms came from... the exporter never told him.

This is great news! A naturally occurring dwarf Burmese. Wicked. So, my next question, are they included in the ban, and if so do we have anyone in Canada working on a pure dwarf line?

- I love retics and burms but the mini version(s) are realistically the only responsible type to work with for me personally. 15ft+ is too much for me.

There's a breeder here selling them. They also do have morphs. They aren't fake, I've seen the same parents for several years now.

Correction, I believe Stephen is correct about the morphs. It appears the morphs that they have are half dwarves.
