You guys were right, lol

He shed last night and a massive poop too, he hasn't been shedding very well in his new enclosure, hard to keep humidity up to where I want it even with misting, but he seems fine.

I couldn't find the piece of shed with the eye caps, which I usually look for to make sure they came off, I held him in the light and took a good look at his eyes, they looked fine, would it be easy to spot if his eye caps did not come off?

Also, when my snakes shed I keep a data chart on them, I measure and weight them after each shed.

Static is getting heavy!
I wanted to get your opinions on if you think this is normal growth for a male JCP.

I've pasted the info below.

Cheers!

Sometimes the eye caps will fall off before they start to remove the shed. I know with the Taiwan we had here a while ago when he went in shed, the first thing he lost were his eye caps and then about 2 days later the rest of the shed followed.
I don't know if this is usual, but I do know you'll definitely be able to tell because when they are in shed they have cloudy eyes, if he looks fine and has clear eyes then his eye cap shed is off :)

Make a humid hide. Solves your problems.

I've been able to do that with my other 2 snakes, however Static's tank uses a RHP, now sure how to make that work when I am not able to put the humid hide directly over top of a heat source.

Put it under the heat source.

Put it under the heat source.

The enclosure if just over 2 feet tall, with the RHP panel of course mounted on the ceiling.

That's what I mean when I say it's hard to heat up the humid hide.

It's easy with a UTH, not sure how I would go about it with a RHP

I have an RHP and it heats the sub-straight up below it fairly well... I dont see how placing a humid hide under it wouldn't heat it up. If your not heating the sub-straight at all then how are you letting your snake get the heat?

a little bit of sphagnum moss goes a LONG way.

The growth seems normal. What and how are often are you feeding. The first year and a half you will experience what's seems like extremely fast growth. After that your carpet 's growth will slow down and become more linear. Even though they tend to do a lot of growing during this time, you must be careful not go overfeed. Let's see some pics!

Static eats 1 weaned rat every 7 days like a champ, he's been on a 7 day feeding schedule since day 1.

Yeah, he probably won't hit 6 feet like I had hoped, I think he has some IJ blood in him.

Here's my boy from a couple weeks ago.
