I was visiting a friend last night and met her boas for the first time, held one (well it sat on me) for about an hour, it was apparently very clingy with its tail but was actually really great with me and I must say I fell inlove.
Currently waiting on a call back from a full time job I hope to get, basically its more then I need as a part time would do us fine for our rent/bills and food so I'm hoping to pick up some things. First it was a really nice male pastel that I really hope to get and I was planning on getting another bp for a very long time so everything is all planned out. But now i'm looking into getting a little boa and wondering since it'll be a month or two till I manage to bring him home do you think that is enough time for me to learn what I need to or should I wait till next year. I would be picking up a hatchling and am prepared for the size, the male should be a bit smaller since he has dwarf in him and the breeder said he would be bigger then a dwarf but not as big as a Columbian, though size is not an issue I just wanted to point it out.
Basically i've never had a boa and am wondering if this is a good start and if I should go for it or not and if anyone could give me a good general run down of everything, i've read and looked over a lot but I really like hearing it from long time owners instead of random caresheets.
Thanks in advance!
