Keeping humidity right in a glass tank with a screen top is a pain!!! Got some wet cypress in the tank, a moss humidity hide, a wet towel over 90% of the top screen and mist about 5+ times a day (before work, on lunch break, after work, before bed, etc etc)!! Can't wait to get a better enclosure. Gonna look at the repticon in October. Anyway, my little columbian rainbow boa is about to shed for the first time since he moved in with me, lol, and so far I've been able to keep the humidity at a constant level of right at 70%. I've gotten it up to 80% at times, but after a bit drops back down to 70%. He is spending most of his time in his wet moss hide which I keep wet for him at all times and change once a week to keep mold/mildew from forming. Will this level of humidity be okay during his shed or should I try to get it up to the 80 to 90% range??

IMO I think it would be fine as long as he has a water bowl large enough to soak in and a moist hide. I would want to allow him to control how moist he is. You don't want them sitting in water with no place to go to dry out if they need to. Snakes can regulate themselves as long as they are given the tools to do so. Hope he sheds well for you!!
You will have much better luck once you get him out of the fish tank...

Or.. just wrap the screen top in saran wrap.
Problem solved!

i put long strips of packing tape on both sides of my screen tops to help keep humidity.
