View Full Version : Long tail & hog island boas
I was just wandering if any of you guys have had any personal experience with either of the 2, cause I might try to get one or the other at the ETHS expo in October.

I've worked with hogs, what do you need to know.
Temperature, humidity, housing, feeding, temperament. You know, the basics. I have corn snakes, ball pythons, a IJ carpet python and a pueblan milk snake, but this would be my first time working with a boa.

Hog Island care sheet - Redtailboa.net (http://www.redtailboa.net/forums/boas/11262-hog-island-care-sheet.html)
i have a hog and a red tail i keep my hog at 89 90 hot spot and 75 72 cool spot. my red tail 3degrees warmer. humidity at 55-65. my hog is a bit mor skidish but has never bitten. can be a picky eater.. but i think thats just him :). stay at about 6-7 ft where a red tail can be up to 15. good luck! cant wait to see pics :)
Thanks! Also, does anyone know anything about long tails?
I'm not getting one for sure. I'm just trying to learn everything about them in case I get one at a expo in October.
