You are sooo lucky to have so many hoggies! I love that someone else here shares an enthusiasm for them. They are really just great snakes overall. Can I see more of your hoggies?

May I ask how much you paid for them?

They were from an unsexed / unproven eater group, but the only reds available. So I got both for 70. Although there are quite a few shows around where I'm located, very few have hogs and when they do it is usually albinos. This was probably the first show in years that had a ton of baby reds and greens. They are usually not to hard as new feeders and its great to watch them grow from this size.

My girl I got in February was 70 and she was a proven eater. There is only one breeder in my area that has hognose and they don't sell anything but more "yellow" or "brown" in color. Hoping sometime next year I can get another...if they have something "different".

And she is tiny like the two reds you have here. Had her first shed recently but doesn't seem to be bigger at all since February. How long does it usually take to see some true growth?

How big will they grow to be?

As lond as they are eating well, after 9 months you start noticing some actual growth. When they grow large enough to accept two iems at once you should see the first big growth spurt.

They will usually get 18 -36 inches, males being closer to 18 and females getting coser to 3 feet. my larget female is 24 inches and 300 gm. I have seen reports of 30+ inch breeder females being 500-800 gms.
