stressed boa

i had my boa this sunday an think i may have stressed him, when my uv strip light is turned off he lies along it. curls up the corner. think i migh hav handled him to much anyone gotany ideas please

When you get a new snake, give him a week to settle, how are his temps/humidity/boa type?
Can you add pics of your terrarium/viv? How is your snake getting to the light, it should be out of his reach to avoid burns.

My first question would be "why have you got a UV strip light in with a snake?".

Snakes as a rule dont need UV bulbs like lizards do and none of my snakes have artificial lighting in their vivs.

You definitely want to leave him be for a week or so to settle into his new home and not handle him at all until he is regulalrly feeding for you. Stress is one of the things that will stop a snake from eating. If you let us know your temps and humidity, cage size etc you will get a lot of good advice to ensure you have a nice healthy, happy snake for years to come.

I was gonna ask the same question.....as it is not necessary also it might stress him out depending on how bright.:)

yes pics, soon. Give him week or two to chill before you strat flashing a cmer in his face nd hndling him alot!! my aaaaaaaa gets stuck lol cnt you tell!! :)
