Yeah tea most any pythonxpython boaxboa thers bunches burmballs balltics bateaters (burmxretic) bloodballs the only problems I realy see is knowing what temps and humiditys each cross needs but balltics look sick lol

Another huge problem is the number of viable young vs stillborn/slugs, All of the people i know who have attempted it avg a 50/50 and sometimes worse. A friend tried to make some bat-eaters, and got 29 slugs, and 4 viable eggs, 2 of the viable eggs were stillborn and the other 2 turned out fine.

The young of some of the cross-breeds look phenomenal, but the high percentage of eggs lost make it something that I probably wont try.

would there be a chance that the cross bread snakes have neurological problems? ie. kinda slow?

Anything is possible, I have no idea what the odds are, all I know is his bat-eater tagged me from almost 4 feet away when I sneased lol:P That one def isn't slow.

I'd consider myself great at not getting tagged, last time i was bitten was almost 15 years ago and it was a wild northern water snake about the length of my finger :p
(hard not to get bitten when freehandel'n a snake that size, not that it hurts)
Just goes to show that even when you are good, unexpected things happen, its hard to predict a snease some times, and that half second of attention loss is enough to hurt you, the bat-eater is puppy dog tame and still tagged me when i surprised it.

do post pics of that jcp/gtp, sounds amazing

carpet x chondro (gtp) = carpondro

jaguar carpet x chondro = jagpondro

macklot's x carpet = carplot

carpet x beolens = sorry can't remember

carpet python x royal python (ball python) = sorry can't remember

just about every carpet cross you can think of has been done there are also double hets becoming more accessable and cheaper to the masses

re neurological issues
only the jaguar co dominant colour and pattern mutation has shown signs of neuro issues.NOT all jaguars have neuro issues but those who do show anything from slight head shakes or at the worse end of the scale full corkscrews around their vivarium

more research needs done into the neuro issue's with jags.you can breed a healthy jag and get hatchlings showing neuro issues that said you can breed a jag with neuro issues and all the hatchlings are healthy.jags can show no signs of neuro right through to adult hood then start showing them right out the blue or remain healthy their whole lifes

cheers shaun

with hybrids like bateaters i cannot comment as i have no experience with them

carpets though do not have high losses

its only morelia i work with and i can assure you there are NO more eggs lost in a carpet to carpet crossing than you would lose in breeding 2 pure carpets together.

cheers shaun
