I wouldn't do it.. That seems excessive.

Just make sure you have a very large water bowl so the snake can voluntarily soak when it desires to do so.

Locking a boid in a tub of water is stressful to say the least.

***Note** - Someone please correct me if I am off base.

Has they eyes clouded over yet?

Cloudy eyes are the sure fire way to know the shed is on it's way.

If she is having a normal shed, just mist here cage to bump up humidity. If the shed is coming off in pieces, I have soaked my animals in warm, baby bath warm tub for no more then an hour to help the skin soak in some water and come off. Another way would be a wet pillow case or snake bag. But only do this if you know your snake is not shedding properly :)

i soak my snakes in warm water if they are having a real bad shed, sometimes it happens to my retic, the rest shed fine but i need to bath her a few times a year, either in a tub if im cleaning the room or busy doing maintaining all my snakes, or ill just take her out, toss her in the bath tubs and pet her in the water till he dead skin is nice and soft and help he get it off Gently<<

ok well if shes flaking you have missed the foggy eyes..the "in blue" comes way before the skin starts to come off. Boas should shed all skin in one piece if its coming off in chunks it could either be 2 things. Your humidity is wrong, or you have a stressed out sick snake.

Judging by the title you have just gotten the snake so i would guess the seller sold it at the in between blue and shedding phase, my SD retic was the same and the first shed was a total bitch, came of in loads of tiny pieces. As long as your husbandry is correct the next shed should be a lot better - dont worry about this shed its totally not your "fault".

EIther use a large plastic tub or your bath, warm (not hot) water that reaches about halfway up the body of the snake. Let her soak for a while and then use a towel, face cloth, something slighty rough and let the snake "dry" itself by running through your hand/towel, hopefully this should get the majority off. Try this once a day until the shed is completely gone.

Once all the shed is off your guy may need a few days of rest and alone time to settle in.

Let us know how you get on and dont forget to post some pics!!

Only thing I might add is that when aiding a shed do not "pull" the old skin off it should come off easy when its ready you can gently aid in removing the skin but you can damage the new skin if you Arnt carfull

I had the same issue with my female scrub, but she is kind of.....stupid. she soaked in her water dish a couple of weeks prior to shed, then when it came time to shed she hung out under her heat lamp for a couple days. Needless to say, her shed came off in pieces. I gave her about 20 minutes in an 85 degree bath, then stuck her in a damp snake bag for about 2 hours. When I took her out, all the dead skin had come off.
