Hey guys so i saw a thread about a beautiful cat that passed :'( i thought i would open up a thread where we could all post pics and/or storries about our long lost pets to simpley remember them and enjoy them again even if they are not with us any more. so heres my story

I had bought my self 2 beardies named Venome and Zen. they were just the cutest, qwerkiest little thing :) Now my roomate at the time had 3 ferrets..wich he didnt care for in the best of ways.. Any way i was at work and my roomat had let the ferrets out for them to exercise. well when i got home :( two of the ferrets had managed to get into my tank... you can ¸only imagin the outcome :( they were in reallly bad shape.. :( any way i miss them alot and here are some pics of them RIP Venom and ZEN

here is Eve. sorry for the crappy photo.
she was my first snake. my sister when i wasnt home and against what she is supposed to do, held her then when she put her back she did not secure the lid. so i get home and my snake is gone, i spent 3 days tearing up the house and another month leaving bait and baking soda on the ground. never found her i have 3 dogs and a cat so you can imagine

I have a few.. start off with my "odd couple" I miss them both.

This guy (Felix) was one tough kitty, he tangled with the coyotes more than once, unfortunately it was his end. The last coyote encounter left him mortally wounded.

This guy was a sweetheart, I found him as a stray. The vet had to keep him a week, he was that bad off when I found him in my barn near death.

after surgery and parasite removal, he was a quick recovery after that. 2 years later he got ran over by a car.

I used to walk miles in the woods, and both of them would follow me, no matter what the terrain was like. Felix jumped over the creek once to follow me.

Felix was a pain in the behind, every night he would whine by the door until someone finally gave in and let him out.

He was a nocturnal hunting machine. He was a ruthless killer who kept my rodent population under control. No mouse, rat, chipmunk, squirrel or bunny was safe with him around.

His first coyote fight, he was tore up pretty bad. about maxed my visa card that day.

He used to patrol our camp area every summer, sometimes he would sit up on the roof of the camper and just watch.

We had to rehome him after my accident, he didnt adjust well to my new level of mobility, would freak out if i used my wheelchair and was not the same dog. He went to live with a single guy who did regular trekking in the wilds, as far as i know he is still with him and living the good life.

Harvey, we rescued him and thought he had cat flu, turned out to be feline leukaemia, was given less than 10% chance of survival but we persevered when we knew that treatment wouldnt put him through any suffering. He lived for another five years before age caught up with him, always laid in odd places tho!!

I think I'll share all of my losses at a later point, and by the way, I'm assuming it was my cat you were talking about, Bo2as. I'll share later, in too good of a mood right now to be ruining it.

At any rate, condolences to you all. Your cats sounded amazing, Wayne. Remind me of my cats(minus being outdoors). Mine always follow me around the house, I absolutely adore it~ It's a real shame what happened with yours...

Despite you, Reptile, saying that picture isn't best, I really like it. Eve looked really nice in a red skull~ but she was beautiful enough, alone. Really sorry to hear what happened.. but hopefully your sister has learned her lesson, it's just really awful that you had to lose a beloved for her to learn.

Rob, sorry to hear about your dog, but it was really kind of you to rehome him for his own good. I'm sure he loved you a ton, but some animals just don't do well with objects they're unsure of or new to, and therefore fear it. At least he's happy and in good hands. Also, your cat seemed like a really goofy guy~ Would have loved to see more of those strange sleeping spots, the one posted is already hilarious~ It's really great that he was a survivor. A real inspiration to owners with similar problems. At least he went peacefully, I assume, and lived a good life with a loving family.

And Bo2as, sorry about your beardies.. I can honestly relate, only it was a gecko, -my- ferrets, and I was at school, but that story is for another time. I certainly hope your roommate -at least- apologized or made sure all surfaces were from the ferrets' reach(I know how determined they are), reptiles couldn't be harmed, lids secure, etc. Another sad story of 'lesson learned*(I hope), but at the price of a life or lives'. Sorry for your loss.

This was Myla who we picked her out of a litter and waited for 5 weeks to bring her home.
We had lost our long time 4 legged best friend a border collie/blue heeler mix the year before after a bout with cancer so after a year we were ready to once again have a dog in the house.
Enter Myla
She was a bundle of energy like most Blue Heeler/Australian Sheppard crosses are but we were prepared for this having owned heeler mixes before.
She seemed perfectly healthy and happy the first 3 weeks we had her and then one night at about 4 am she started to wince in pain and it got worse by the hour till I called a friend for a ride to the animal ER.
The vet came out and told us she didn't have long as her chest cavity was full of water!
She sadly passed away within 10 minutes of getting to the vets.
Congestive heart failure at 13 weeks old was the last thing we expected.

No more dogs for us for now....We love dogs but the pain of losing them...

this is baron, he was a german shepherd we got from a police officer who was going to travel the world with his wife. We had to put him down about 3 years ago because his health was going and we didn't want him to suffer through the cold winter, so we let him have his last summer at the cottage :) he was a sweetie pie
