I shouldn't, but I think I will.
Not that I'm not prepared:

Wish me luck!
Here's the plans for the little one when she get's home:
Depending on how large she is when I pick her up, she'll either go in a 3gal, or 29gal.
-Either will have a small under tank heat pad under the hot side, a ceramic bulb in a heat lamp on top of the cage on the hot side, and a florescent bulb running the length of the cage, 12/12 light cycle
-Hot side temps will be 90-95F, with a 75-80 cold side.
-Humidity will be room humidity, ~50%
-Hide on hot and cold side
-Plenty of climbing logs and foliage
-Coco Husk Coarse Substrate
-Large water dish for soaking, fresh daily

The first week to 2 weeks I have her Ill leave her alone, at the 2 week mark I'll attempt to offer her a pinky rat, or fuzzy rat depending on her size.

As she grows, I'll move her to a 36x18x18, and as an adult she'll live in a 4'x2'x2'.

What do you guys think about the plan?
And wish me luck!!!

Sounds pretty good. I offer food after a couple days. All of my snake except my Bredli ate with in two days of getting them.

You know, the more I research acclimation, the more I'm finding that people usually attempt to feed at or around 3-5 days. I may need to rethink my plans for first feeding.

Got some cages set up, hoping I can pick a girl up big enough for the 29, if not she'll go in the 3.

29 Gal
Don't worry, there will be a secured lid on it when she comes home, lighting will also be changed to one ceramic heat emitter and 24" florescent bulb

Good choice! You've been bit by the bug, soon you'll be bit by the snake!
And I agree with Chuck, don't skip out on her first meal, chances are she'll eat without hesitation. Good luck! And don't forget to post pictures.

The best choice ;) I'm prepared for my hands to turn into pin cushins... no pain no gain
I'm convinced to at least offer a meal after the third day home, so no worries there... and believe me, you will soon be over run with more pictures than you could want, I'm a bit of a picture w hore ;)

I've got a quick question for you guys:
I had to order the ceramic bulbs for the tank, so I need a substitute in the mean time, would these type of infrared night bulbs work for 24/7 heating?
Reptile Night bulbs – reptile light bulbs (http://www.petmountain.com/category/462/1/reptile-night-bulbs.html)
I know with some reptile species, especially diurnal ones, the light they put off can be bad for their eyes.
Any input on using these type of bulbs 24/7 for a week or so?

Nothing wrong with that your among friends. lol I think Wayne is the only person on here who might have more pictures on here than me.

As far as the light i would think it be ok. I don't use heat lamps, just UTH (under tank heaters). so i am not 100% sure.
