Ahhh. Was thinking if it wasn't local it might of been from JB Cresties. I know she's a decently popular crested breeder online.

Edit: Wow, Emily has some really pretty cresties~ My only question is, why do some of them have their tails seemingly snipped off?

Just droped tails sapphyr fairly common in cresties from my understanding most adults in the wild don't have tails

No, no tails for a crestie I believe is a good thing. They don't grow their tails back for a reason. Cresties can get floppy tail syndrome (fts) and it will bend their pelvis. But with no tail, this doesn't happen.

I've been looking into getting a crestie or a garg and from what I've read both can drop and regenerate their tail, but gargs are more likely to do so. They usually drop their tails due to stress, which in the wild is brought on by a pursuing predator and why not having a tail is beneficial - predators will have less to grab on to.

When a gargoyle drops it's tail it WILL regenerate.......a cresties tail WILL NOT regenerate. Yes, usually geckos in general will drop their tails when being approached by a predator....the tail usually keeps them busy as it moves around and the gecko can then get away. But Crestie are unique because their tails don't grow back.

yeahh, i like my crestie with her tail it has nice pattern and if it falls off then, i guess ill have a tailess crestie haha but i hold her and stuff just never restrain or nothing and she seems fine, i dont want it gone if she gets floppy tail i would prob make it fall off for her own good i would feel horrible about it but to keep her healthy i would do it!!

I just went to a reptile show and saw about 400 of these on one table lol you know that guy goes through a ton of crickets!!!..very cute picture btw!! I wish I could keep geckos alive, I seem to have bad luck with them lol

Cresties usually do well on a diet of created gecko diet you mix with water he prob uses no crickets
