There are so many facts that can contribute to this. Is he in shed? How often do you feed him? Do you have a heat pad under the tank or a hot spot he can bask to help digest? Have you recently changed his type of food ie. from frozen - live, mouse - rat etc. ? Is the cage excessive to the snakes size? Your boa may be stressed due to size of cage, full from over feeding or just not like the new type of food.

Some times it can. After my BRB did it i waited a week and try again and he regurgitated again. So the next time i waited 2 weeks and he did find. Some time it's good to skip a meal to give them a little bit of a rest. I realized i was feeding to much. I had up the size of rat, but was still feeding every 7 days. So i switch to every 10 to 14 days and he hasn't got sick since.

How many food items did you feed and what size. Too many or too big for boas could result in a regurge.

i usualy feed him 1 rat pup every 7 days i ran out so i fed him 2 rat hoppers would that have caused it

He's most likely hissing because he is in shed and doesn't want to be messed with. A good practice when they are in shed is to just leave them alone aside from misting and water changes until they are done. Did he regurge one or both of his rats? I'd do as Chuck suggested and give him an extra week before feeding him again.

Hey, did the wheather outside make an abrupt change? Did it get cold or rain snow etc. The whether plays a huge part of this. Even if your house and the tank temperatures are perfect and where they should be, if the temp drops or there is precipitation this will cause your snake to be unable to digest and will make them regurgitate. It's a good idea to wait ten to fourteen days to feed again. Do not feed if it's raining. If the problem persists then take your baby to the vet.

i dont want a fight but dont feed your snakes if its raining ?????

regardless of weather outside if your tanks temps are set up correctly the weather will have no effect on your snake

thunder and lightining can change atmospheric pressures

at worst severe cold weather outside can drop your ambient air temperatures in your cool end

regurgres are usually caused by a sudden drop in temperature in your tank

or

if your temps are too cold in general for the snake to digest its food

has your thermometer definatley not developed a fault ?

another reason can be parasites or worms in your snake.wild caught snakes are more prone to this.

was your snake captive bred or wild caught ?

leave the snake at least 2 weeks before offering food again

if it regurges again then keep it moist in a bag and pop it in the fridge.not the freezer as it would be no use for testing after its frozen.take it to the vet asap and ask for tests to be done on it.

cheers shaun

So the atmospheric pressure dropping due to a sudden rain or cold will have no effect on the snake? And my thermometer is fine!
